LITTLE BACKSTORY
We are friends from the same school, and we both studied computer science. At some point we got into Monster and all the different flavours, and we absolutely fell in love with it.
Pretty soon we were collecting cans, trying everything we could find, and reviewing them with each other. Our friends jumped in too. It became this little ritual: find a can, try it, talk about it.
For a long time all of that lived in WhatsApp. Someone cracked a new can, sent a photo, wrote a quick review. The rest of us would reply, argue about the flavour, ask where they found it.
It was fun. Then the chat got so long nobody could find anything anymore. Old reviews disappeared, and you could not even search for a flavour. We kept scrolling back and giving up.
On Reddit it felt familiar. People post a can they found, and then the comments are full of “where did you get this?”
We loved seeing what other fans were drinking, but it was messy in the same way our chat was. We kept thinking, why is there not one place for the conversation, the map, and the collection?
The wall
A lot of collectors keep empty cans and make a wall at home. If you have the space, it looks incredible. Most of us do not have that kind of room, or we just do not want to keep every empty can.
We still wanted a way to remember what we had tried and show it to friends. So we made a wall in the app. Same feeling, just on your phone.
So we built it
We kept doing all of this in WhatsApp and kept wishing it lived in one app. We looked around a bit, but nothing felt like our chat.
We already knew how to build an app. We studied computer science, we are friends, we were already building things anyway. So we thought, let's just build this Monster app ourselves. A feed for the photos and reviews, a map for where we spotted cans, barcode scan, a catalog, and a wall for the collection. That is what we open on our phones now.

We first built BeastVault for us and our friends. We were using it ourselves and it actually felt good, so we thought, why not put it out for everyone else too?
The first week it just exploded. So many new people showed up, and a lot of them are still here. Today there are 9,650 people using BeastVault.
Now we work with a team of around 20 people, with different skills in marketing, moderation, and community management. We also work with artists. Without them, BeastVault would not be the place everyone loves today.
We keep the app running and we keep making new stuff, because we want this to be the most fun place to hang out if you are a Monster Energy fan.
